The Malawian (Hi)Stories and the Medical Humanities <\/b>provides free public access to digitized special collections, mostly from images, maps, ephemera, articles, manuscripts, texts, audio and video files, a limited book collection, letters, interviews, and more relating to medical humanities research in Malawi. <\/span><\/p>\n This archive is intended\u00a0for public use to promote the research, study and discovery of medical humanities resources in Malawi, and most importantly preserving digital objects. <\/span><\/p>\n Anyone can contribute materials as this is intended to be a public resource. We aspire that the contributions to this project remain diverse, and include scholarly research, personal essays, and critical interpretations of artistic and literary works.<\/span><\/p>\n This archive was built with funding from the Wellcome Trust<\/span><\/a> as part of the Seed Award project Tili Tonse: \u2018”Tili Tonse (We are Listening): Mapping Oral Storytelling Traditions and Narratives with Health in Malawi)’ hosted by the Centre of African Studies<\/span><\/a> at the University of Edinburgh<\/span><\/a>. Contributions will be solicited by the Malawi Medical Humanities Network<\/span><\/a>. The archive is created by Tayo Kopfer<\/span><\/a> and will be maintained by Michael Muti Etter-Phoya, founder of Logos \u2013 Open Culture<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
